Question:
I have installed two ceiling hooks for non-suspension play, though they can hold 500lbs (i am 110) and I actually would also like use them for suspension now and add a pulley system. What would I need to do to be fully hoisted up, with ease?
Answer:
You don't say how you have attached the ceiling hooks, or how you know they will hold up to 500lb in weight.
If however you have used the screw in type and just screwed these into the wooden beams we would not trust these for much more than light suspension and certainly not for suspending a persons full weight.
If you have used beam hangers with an eye, a bolt with a washer and a nut behind, this would be more suitable.
To this you would simply need a block and tackle set, this could be a manual chain operated block and tackle set or you could use an electrically operated winch, either of these will winch you up with ease.
