Question:
If I bought a Violet Wand what sort of feeling could I expect and where would I start?
Answer:
A good one to start with would be the bulb attachment inserting the metal capped end into the wand. The fit should be snug enough to hold the attachment securely. Do not use too much force. The attachments are delicate and may break. Turn the wand down low and activate the foot switch. Increase the intensity until the bulb just starts to glow with a purple colour. Increase the intensity until the bulb glows when the wand is held in all positions. It is normal at very low levels for the bulb to glow in the vertical position and yet die out in the horizontal position. Switch the wand off. Place the flat surface of the bulb in firmcontact with your skin. Switch the wand back on. You should feel very little if any sensation on your skin at this point. Try pulling the bulb away. When contact with the skin is broken, sparks will jump from the bulb to your skin. You should definitely feel something at this point. This is the main technique you will use with the wand: the effect is felt by the subject when there is a gap between them and the wand attachment for the spark to jump across. This is perhaps the single most important technique to keep in mind: no gap = no spark = no pain.
There are a lot of ways to use this principle. For example if the subject is clothed there will be no way for you to apply the wand without the clothing establishing the gap (the electricity will go right through clothing). The wand is more intense on a clothed subject than nude. This can be a great way to get someone undressed quickly. Try it one more time, this time pull the bulb away slowly. You will notice that as the gap between the bulb and your skin increases the spark length also increases. You should also notice that the sensation is far more intense with a longer spark length.
If you kept the flat bottom of the bulb parallel to your skin as you pulled it away the sparks would have been spread out over the entire flat surface of the bulb. If this was the case ay the experiment again but this time tilt the bulb as you pull away. The sensation should be quite a bit more intense this time. This is due to the electrical energy being concentrated in just one point. This is the second main principle to be kept in mind when using the wand: If the sparks are concentrated in a small area the sensation will be dramatically more intense. Try experi¬menting with this using the two other blown glass attachments. The rod is nice because it can be laid down along the skin and distributes the sparks along the entire length of the rod. It can then be gradually tilted upwards so the tip is pointing at the skin, intensifying the effect. The rake concentrates the energy into several discrete points at the rake tips. You can concentrate all the energy into just one point by tilting the rake.
