Review:
After successful experimentation with the pleasure-tec PT2020 digital box I thought i would try their top-of-the-range analogue control box the PT2010.
This neat little unit is supplied in a carry case that includes two leads and some adaptors. The adaptors are supplied to enable the box to be connected to a wide range of accessories and so far I have had no issues with using my favourite toys.
The box is a two channel device, and because it is analogue very different to use when compared with the PT2020. In many ways it is simpler, all of the controls are switches or dials on the top panel, each of which modifies the frequency or pulse rate of the signal.
As you would expect the biggest influences are the intensity and the frequency rate controls for which there is one of each per channel and they operate independently of each other. The next two controls are labelled “FM” and “programmes”. Between them these two controls vary the order and speed of the channel outputs. A wide range of sensations can be achieved by variations of these settings, from gentle infrequent pulsing to continuous output. Noting that the two channels can be adjusted independently of each other (I hope you can follow this) the potential of this machine is very exciting!
One disadvantage observed with many other EMS and TENS units is there limited power. The PT2010 has plenty of power and is capable of powering some of the larger surface area stim toys…… especially insertables. In fact, you have to be brave (or cruel) to start increasing the intensity beyond 2/3s with many toys.
I think that this unit is a good step-up for anyone who has enjoyed stim with some of the less powerful machines and wants a bit more intensity and variation. I have also used this machine very successfully in conjunction with the PT2020 with fantastic affect. As you can imagine with 4 channels available it is possible to stim in every conceivable way….. at once!
