We at Pleasure-Tec are customers too. We ere always buying things from the Internet. So it goes without saying that we take Internet security very seriously. We have learnt a few things though over the years and have come up with some things that we think you need to check before you pay out any of your hard earned cash via your card.
We have also found over the years that anybody or any company that makes a huge play about your security and how they spend all there time thinking about your security and how they donít want you to get run over by a bus etc on their web sites are probably just a little tiny company or someone working from home and they want you to think they are bigger than they actually are.
So!!!! What to look out for!
We donít have Sale price. Price should be price. Manufacturers Recommended Selling price, Our PriceÖ. we just have The Price. Otherwise anybody could say the price should be £10.00 but our price is £5.00. How would you know the price should be £10.00.
- Vat Registration: Always check and see if the company, if itís based in the UK is VAT registered. Why you may say? Well most accountants would say and advise there client that if they had or were starting a company that buys and sells goods they would need to be VAT registered from day 1 simply because everything they buy they will have to pay VAT on even products you buy from overseas you have to pay VAT on so you would need to be able to claim that back. Once again we think no VAT number ask yourself why?
- Company Registration: This is one to think about when ordering, when we got to a stage where a financial commitment was needed for Pleasure-Tec we decided that it was best to make the company Ltd just in case as your less likely to lose your house if it goes wrong if you are Ltd. So we think most companies serious about what they do would be registered at Companyís House, especially those trading on the Internet as it does add to your credibility.
- Credit Card Details: Once we have processed your order we shred your Credit / Debit Card details, Why? You may say as its a pain having to give you my details every time I place an order! Well imagine if we were broken into and a thief found where we kept all your details we think you would be most upset and we would not be too happy about it either.
- Telephones: We donít know of any shops or companies that operate from buildings that donít have telephone lines going into them. Enough said!!!!
If you have stolen a C/C or ripped off some ones ID we recommend you go to Saudi Arabia to use it, as they still chop the hands off THIEVES there, We donít want it here. The first signs of any fraud and we will not hesitate to pass on any information we have to the Police and any other Authorities concerned. Your IP address will be recorded and in the event of suspected credit card fraud, will be used to prosecute to the fullest extent of the law.
We hope this guide will help you in making your buying decision.
If you are unsure about giving your Card Details through the Internet and you wish to buy something from us, donít worry we understand just give us a call speak to one of our friendly staff who will take your order and treat it as a telephone order and despatched in the normal way.
